Leigh Diffey and Jeff Burton join Door Bumper Clear, and after a wild weekend at Charlotte, there was a lot to get into.

Jeff opens up about the biggest regret of his career: rushing out of victory lane after his first win at Texas, and skipping victory lane entirely when his brother Ward won the Daytona 500. He also explains why a $100 bill signed “first driver contract” by Richard Childress is hanging in his office.

Leigh tells the story of trying to set up a day with Ward Burton, and the text reply that came back. He also runs through the nicknames he’s picked up over the years, including a few you won’t hear on TV.

Then the conversation turns to the Chase. Kyle Larson didn’t win at Charlotte and still extended his lead. Chase Briscoe said he’d attack Larson from the start and did. And Leigh says he’s never seen Christopher Bell that mad after a race. Jeff explains why Talladega could turn into a chess match with a new rules package and no practice. Tony opens up about still being bitter over parts of his NASCAR past, the Christmas text he got from Steve O'Donnell, and the meeting with NASCAR that had him thinking about his retirement plan. Kyle Larson finally joins Door Bumper Clear — and he brought his spotter Tyler Monn with him.

The guys get into Larson’s frustrating winless season, his wild weekend bouncing between Cup and sprint cars, and what it’s like working with Tyler after a last-minute change landed them together at Hendrick Motorsports. Larson also explains why he thinks NASCAR needs to stop babysitting wet-weather racing and let teams make their own calls on pit road.
