Seeking God Out (Jodi Eash)

Each Christmas we reflect on a very special story surrounding the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 2:1-12). It’s the account of the “wise men” who diligently followed a star with the expectation that they were going to find the newborn King of the Jews. – Seeking & Finding Jesus Christ.

This time of the year there seems to be a wonderful collision between our culture and Christianity. It’s as though we’re given “permission” to believe the impossible and to have the faith of a child. Many times this phenomena is referred to as the “Christmas Spirit”. – The Spirit of Christmas.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” As we reflect on this beloved passage of scripture from John 3:16, we find in it the very heart of Christmas. – Preparing For Christmas.

Sometimes we struggle to know the “Will of God”. However, the Bible makes it clear that “thankfulness” is the “Will of God” for all of us (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). It’s amazing how simply having a thankful heart can affect our heart in so many other wonderful ways. – A Thankful Heart.

The scripture states that there is an ongoing conflict between the influence of the Holy Spirit and the nature of the flesh (Galatians 5:16-17). It’s an internal conflict within us that we need to know how to confront. – How To Confront Yourself.

Jesus told His disciples that His sheep know His voice (John 10:4-5). Can we actually know the voice of God? – Is That You God?

When Jesus ascended into heaven the disciples were looking up at the sky. Just then, two messengers of God asked them why they were gazing into heaven. They went on to say that this same Jesus will come back! – Jesus Is Coming Back.

The Apostle Paul instructed Timothy to “fan into flames” the gift that was in him. The manifestation of this gift (when stirred) is a Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. – Fanning The Flames of God’s Power.

The Psalmist looked to the heavens with a fascination toward God and exclaimed, “The heavens proclaim the glory of God” (Psalm 19:1) and also asks, “What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?” (Psalm 8:4). – Fascinated With God.
