Deconstructing the Bible is not a means to destroy the Bible or dismantle the Bible." - Pastor Demetrius Davis

As we continue to grow in our faith, it's important to become critical and ask questions about how we use the Bible, and how we've been taught the Bible. Deconstructing the Bible is not a way to discredit what the Bible teaches, instead, deconstructing the Bible teaches believers how to use context, culture, and character in the Bible passages we consume.

Check out CityPoint's 2021 Ressurection Sunday Easter Sunday sermon, "Trap Jesus". Throughout the gospels, Jesus is among the multitude where suffering is present. He is a member of and minister to the outcasts and those who are relegated to making the most of their circumstances for survival. This series, "Trap Jesus" highlights Jesus's presence and solidarity with those forced to live a trap life.
