March 02, 2023#153- The Road To Revolution Is Upon UsThis week on the show we talk all about the 3/1/99 WWF Raw in the Retro Review. We are starting to get the formation of the card for WrestleMania 15, and all of your Attitude Era folks are on this show (though very few of the matches have a definitive winner). "On This Day..." was a very big day for The Beast from the East as Bam Bam Bigelow won two championships on March 1st. We also checked out the latest offerings from AEW and WWE as both companies are on their way to a big show. We will be in San Francisco this weekend for Revolution, so if you see us, please say hi. Enjoy!...more1h 4minPlay
February 23, 2023#152- Elimination Chamber Thoughts, Rockford Indie & More! This week on the show we take a look at a very entertaining Retro Raw as we rundown the 2/22/99 episode that featured the first ever Inferno Match on television. The evil Mr. McMahon was even ringside to see The Undertaker go head to head with Kane, but a surprise delivery caught him way off guard. We also talked about the incredible Elimination Chamber PPV, AEW’s offerings this week, a trip to Rockford for Damage Inc. and much more. It is a great time to be a wrestling fan and we have some awesome stuff on the horizon as we are about to embark on a journey to San Francisco for Revolution and all the great stuff that will surround that. Thanks for joining us on the ride!...more1h 4minPlay
February 16, 2023#151- I Acknowledge You!This week on the show we take a look at the WWF Raw after the St. Valentine's Day Massacre PPV in which we saw a giant added to the roster. Aside from Sean Waltman, Paul Wight was the first big star to hop from WCW to the WWF and he's here. We are building to WM 15. Mat reveals any hits that were in the four AEW blasters that he purchased last week. From there we spend some time chatting about all sorts of stuff from the main shows (including the continuation of the Bloodline/Sami story) to Twitter and run down some stuff that is on the horizon. Enjoy!...more1h 4minPlay
February 09, 2023#150- Broken Fingers & Thumbtack HoodiesThis week on the show we chat about ACW Wisconsin’s show this past Sunday at Tanners. New champ alert! It was a good one. We also talk about the Raw before St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, which happened to be the most attended Raw of all time as almost 42,000 fans packed the Sky Dome in Toronto. We also ran down a ton of other pro wrestling programming. NXT: Vengeance Day, Raw, Smackdown, Dynamite, Rampage & More! Enjoy....more1h 8minPlay
February 02, 2023#149- A Royally Good RumbleWhile the WWE Royal Rumble (and that amazing finish to the main event) takes up a fair deal of time, we still managed to get in all of the segments thin week on the show. The Retro Raw was a bit unique as Mr. McMahon wasn’t in the arena, but rather on location in Victoria, TX trying to coax Stone Cold Steve Austin into breaking his contract. That was on the heels of the empty arena match on Halftime Heat with a short turnaround to St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. We got a decent amount of figure news and new arrivals to discuss, as well as a gruesome death match that was recommended viewing. To close things out we chatted about who we each got in the tattoo drawing, and briefly run down what’s on the horizon for us as far as live wrestling goes. Enjoy!...more1h 18minPlay
January 26, 2023#148- Tattoo Royal Rumble Draw 2023This week on the show we hit on all of the usual segments! The Retro Raw Review comes on the heels of the 1999 Royal Rumble. The Rock has regained the WWF Championship and Mr. McMahon is your rumble winner. We also get a title change! From there we run down some figure news and check out the newest crate from Pro Wrestling Tees (one of us scored the chase Micro Brawler). After that we hit on Raw XXX (don't type that into a search engine). The returning legends, and the phenomenal Bloodline segment. All in all, it was a pretty good show. We also cover everything from AEW, the DMJ Match of the Week, Mondo Lucha at The Cooperage in Milwaukee and more. Then the time has come to draw numbers for the 2023 Tattoo Royal Rumble. A couple brave souls have joined in on the fun this year! Listen to the end to hear everyone's numbers. Enjoy a great weekend, everyone! ...more1h 9minPlay
January 19, 2023#147- Remembering Jay BriscoeThis week on the show we spend a goof chunk of time talking about the untimely passing of Jay Briscoe. He meant a lot to a lot of people and we do our best to talk about some of our most fond memories of one of the best to ever do it. We also covered the Raw before the 1999 Royal Rumble PPV, a very solid Dynamite and Rampage from the Forum in LA, and so much more. I sincerely hope you are enjoying the show as much as Adam and I enjoy recording it. If so, go to wherever you listen and give us a positive review or rating. It means a lot. Cheers!...more1h 17minPlay
January 12, 2023#146- Vince Returns, GCW: Save Me & More! This week on the show, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Monday Night Raw the only way we know how: Selling out to the Saudi's! Just kidding, but really, there are all sort of things moving and shaking as far as the WWE goes. We are going to take a wait and see approach, but I get it, as wrestling fans half of what we do is speculate and fantasy book. We also ran down the recent GCW offering from this past weekend in Chicago as well as all sorts of other stuff. Enjoy!...more1h 9minPlay
January 05, 2023#145- Mankind Puts Butts In Seats! This week on the show we sat down to discuss a very pivotal moment in the Monday Night Wars. Jan. 4th 1999 was both the day that Hulk Hogan def. Kevin Nash with the "finger poke of doom" and Mankind def. The Rock for the WWF championship. Both were mired in controversy, but one stood the test of time way better than the other. We also ran down the Wrestle Kingdom 17 show that we got together just hours before recording to watch live. What a show! It had it all from nostalgia, to debuts, to a couple early match of the year contenders. We also cover the last Smackdown and first Raw of the year. Cheers!...more1h 12minPlay
December 29, 2022#144- AEW Holiday Bash, Corporate Kane Version 1 & More! This week on the show we get into the latest Holiday Bash offering from AEW. Shida vs. Hayter was a banger, so if you haven't already seen it, you should seek it out. We also checked in on the Retro Raw as they are starting to build to the 1999 Royal Rumble. Vince McMahon consumes so many raw eggs in a training montage. Other than that, it was a bit of a slow week on the wrestling front, and it happens from time to time. We will be back next week with some Wrestle Kingdom thoughts and a look back at what we most enjoyed in 2022. ...more1hPlay
