In this week’s episode we unpack pop music’s response to and impact on social causes within the last four decades. Pop politics through the decades! Won’t this be an absolute minefield?! But it’s important stuff. We want to hear each other’s thoughts, open minds, and educate pop-head youth on how important this brand of music has been throughout history! We also thought it’s a great way to end June to celebrate PRIDE month.

In this episode we dig deep into the world of Lady Gaga. Marci admits her previous lack of attention for the current Queen of Pop - revealing that the prior few weeks she pursued a crash course toward achieving Little Monster status. Marci interviews long-time fan and co-host Shelby, who gives historical context, reveals her LG inspired lip tattoo, and shares the importance of Lady Gaga as a creative artist. We learn that during Shelby’s time working at the old Masquerade (rest.in.peace), she was already plugged into Fame Monster - secretly listening to the album while checking tickets. We also now know that Lady Gaga does in fact have soft hands.
