Dot to Dot - the daily 5min Alexa demo show

Rill's back with a quick run-down of how she records and then sends me her skill demos using the handy Rec Up iOS app. If it's also available on Android please do let people know using #DTDPod

Using those amazing Amazon Buttons, today's skill is a quick-on-the-draw letters game for two or more players - or (in my case) one person rather foolishly clutching a button in each hand.

Can you thrive in the cutthroat (or at least dry throat) roadside lemonade business? Rill furnishes us with some fascinating top fiscal tips when it comes to staying liquid in the sweet drinks stakes.

Are there any delays on the Tube? Who was the last Anglo-Saxon king? How can these two topics be related? With a deep but entirely manufactured link - a bit like Crossrail really.

Penny Golden ([email protected]) is back bringing us a skill that you'll want; Dead or Alive. I'm excited to explore who is extant and who is extinct.

Judith helps me out today with some smooth button pressing while we try out the Rush Order smoothy-making skill. Yum.

Rill's back. Today she takes us on a ramble through the animals while we try to guess each critter by their calls. Don't confuse your cocks with your roosters, and I have no idea if 'Critter' means all creatures great and small or just the titchy ones.

Ages ago we covered a skill called Quiz Maker which is very similar to today's skill but, unlike that skill, Yak Yak Quiz also allows you to choose from lots of quizzes that others have already made. Ask for a random quiz or make your own at yakyakquiz.com. If you want to create a quiz and let me know the code ([email protected]) I'll give it a blast and add it in as an additional episode.

We've previously covered a skill called 'Star Trek Fan Nerd Facts', but did you know that you can now simply ask the A-lady for a fact about a range of specific topics such as Star Trek, Star Wars or (for the more down-to-Earth types) dogs or cats? She'll give you some intersting facts without your needing to enable a skill.

Yah gotta be fast on the draw to stay alive in this town pardner. Grab an Echo Button and have your trigger-finger, er thumb, poised and ready for action. This 'ere kitchen aint big enough for the both of us...
