The walls of Jerusalem have been rebuilt. But now reforms must happen, and they begin with the Word of God being read and taught.

The Bible teaches that their is one God, and yet this one God exist in three co-equal, co-eternal Persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The three Persons of the Trinity have always being and they exist simultaneously.

Jesus commands His followers to not worry. The Bible teaches that worry is a sin and that it also cannot benefit you. We are to trust in God and give Him our burden, for He cares for us. Our thoughts should not be primarily on the things of this world, but we are to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, and He will give us what we need.

After many years in captivity, in 538 B.C., King Cyrus made a proclamation for the Jews to return to Jerusalem and to rebuild the Temple. The book of Ezra covers events from Cyrus’ proclamation in 538 to around 457 B.C. Some of the main themes of this book is that God keeps His promises, that God will be with His obedient people, and that God is in control. We see the results of God’s discipline of His people and we see the important place that history plays in the Christian life.
