Kassidy Hill and Jacquie Franciulli are back with a brand new episode of Double Coverage.
After a brief hiatus, we welcome ESPN's Andrea Adelson to discuss the College Football Playoffs possibly expanding to 12 teams, where Florida, Miami and FSU stand and how important is Florida's game against Alabama really is.
Jacquie and Kassidy give you a behind the scenes look at the TopGolf experience at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (The Swamp). Then after a quick preview of Ted Lasso Season 2, jump into the implications of the Super League. Jacquie's background in European soccer offers insight on how long the Super League has actually been discussed and what needs to happen next. Then they're joined again by former Florida Gators linebacker James Bates who shares what it's like to be a Gator parent now, his daughter's success with the Florida Gators swim team, becoming a color commentator for college games, his business venture B8sy Paints and becoming a professor at University of Florida. Then Jacquie and Kassidy (attempt) to take part in Batesy's infamous "red leather, yellow leather" competition.
On this week's episode we invite James Bates to the podcast to tell us some Steve Spurrier stories, plus we discuss some of the big news of the week, including the NCAA implementing the one-time transfer rule.
Jacquie and Kassidy dive into the Mike White debate after Florida Gators athletic director Scott Stricklin threw his public support behind the basketball coach this week. We also discuss Dan Mullen's hiring of Corey Bell in the recruiting office and the impressive Pro-Day from corner Marco Wilson.
Double Coverage with Jacquie and Kassidy goes to single high coverage this week as Jacquie takes a week off. Kassidy isn't alone though. She's joined by Kevin Camps, the creative director of branding for Florida Gators football, to talk about the shift to a virtual spring practice, how the program will look with NIL laws taking effect and the plan to share my players stories. Then she shares a conversation with Graham Hall of the Gainesville Sun discussing the Gators early exit from the NCAA Tournament and what the future looks like under Mike White.
Join Jacquie and Kassidy as they dive into the play calling balance between Dan Mullen and Garrick McGee. Then they're joined by Mike Barber of the Richmond Times Dispatch to preview Friday's matchup between Florida and Virginia Tech in the NCAA Tournament, March Madness. Finally, they sit down with former Florida Gator Patric Young for part 2 of the interview. Pat talks about playing with the 2014 "4 seniors", what that Final Four run was like, what he learned from Billy Donovan and the one thing he's still mad at Will Yeguete about.
Jacquie and Kassidy debut their new show! They discuss Gators spring football, interview former Gators hoops star Patric Young, and breakdown WandaVision (because they have thoughts).
Be on the lookout for a new podcast from longtime Florida Gators reporters, Jacquie and Kassidy!
