Here in 2 Peter, we find Peter is at the end of his life (1:14 – 15), and he is writing to the churches he had previously written in 1 Peter. Peter is writing about what we should spend our time pursuing, and by what means we should go about it. The interesting thing is he doesn’t give us a “to do list.” He gives us a list of qualities that we should become. These qualities are granted to us by way of grace from the Lord Jesus Christ. Our faith informs and shapes a new identity in us transforming who we are becoming.

Has anyone ever let you down? When Peter felt like Jesus wasn’t who he thought He was, Peter bailed. After Peter denied Jesus, Jesus was crucified, but came back to life. Peter had to wonder how Jesus felt about what happened. Would Jesus be angry? In this sermon, we’ll look at the conversation Jesus has with Peter in John 21:15-17.

What is the Lord’s dream for you as a disciple? What does his picture of you look like? This week Peter has a revelation about what it means to follow Jesus. If we can have the same the same revelation we could grow in the same way he did.
