Hello Europe (and Australia)... we are back!
Ok, it's been a tough season, and the Douze Points team have been doing some quiet reflection on the state of Eurovision and the future of the podcast. More on the latter very soon, but we do have some news regarding the former, including an official statement from the EBU following the 2024 controversies.
Plus, the current list of countries confirmed for Eurovision 2025 includes an unsurprising omission, and the BBC pull out of Junior Eurovision.
Also, is the UK bringing back the national selection process? The rumour mill is running wild!

In this special encore of a previous Douze Points episode, producer Liam introduces Steven's deep dive into Ireland's record-breaking success at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Until recently, they held the unique distinction of being the only country to have won the contest seven times. Though they now share that honour with Sweden, following Loreen's win in 2023, Ireland's legacy can not be understated.
As they continue to rise up the ranks with the bookies, and as we begin to wonder if the impossibility of Ireland maybe challenging this year is really that impossible, we wanted to reshare this deep dive and get you all as excited as we are!
