Dover and Cecil

In hour two of Dover and Cecil, the guys start the hour reacting to Sean Payton. What did he say about this team's ability to make the Super Bowl? Does he think this team has what it takes? What ingredients do you need to be a Super Bowl team? We have been looking at a different player every day leading up to camp. Today we’re going to look at the entire coaching staff! What are our expectations for Sean, Webb, and VJ? Can Vance have a top 3 defense next year? Can Webb make this Broncos offense land in the top 10? How will Sean Payton coach this team now that he has given up play calling? We look at Jarret Stidham. With Taysom Hill announcing his departure from the Saints, should the Broncos look to add him? Could Hill be the best backup for Bo? We check our X to close out the hour!

In hour one of Dover and Cecil, the guys start the show by asking our big training camp question of the day. As much as we dislike the narrative, how will Bo Nix’s ankle look at camp? Is this really something we’re still worried about? Josh shares a number that should have Broncos fans encouraged! Our big theme of the day. What are our needs and wants out of Broncos training camp? Does Jonah Coleman need to flash at camp, or would that just be a good bonus? Jahdae Barron is on the clock. Do we need to see him pop this camp? What about Bo’s footwork? Do we need to see that improve? John Franklin Myers was a big loss this offseason. How are the Broncos looking to replace him in this camp? We give some updates on the Rockies as we approach the trade deadline. What are they asking for Hunter Goodman?

In the final hour of Dover and Cecil, the guys start the hour looking at the most important player for the Broncos, Bo Nix! What areas are we looking for Bo Nix to improve at this camp? Will he be more willing to throw deep balls? How will he look in the pocket? Can he be more of a leader and command his offense? What did Sean Payton say after practice? Are there a lot of new faces at camp, or are the Broncos just running it back? He finally responds to the almost catastrophic fake punt in the divisional round. How did Sean see the game at that point, and what almost led to a major moment last season? How did Bo Nix look out there to Sean Payton? Will this offense be a Sean Payton scheme or will Davis Webb take control?

In the third hour of Dover and Cecil,  the guys start the hour asking our big training camp question of the day. What can we expect from JK Dobbins next season? Can he stay healthy this year? Does JK need to have a pitch count to avoid injury? Will he be a thousand-yard rusher? We got more news on Payton Watson and his potential contract extension? What are they now asking for in a possible trade? After matching Spencer Jones’s offer from OKC, it put the Nuggets into the second apron. How will that impact their ability to sign and trade Watson? We got news coming from the NHL. A big-time player got a big contract extension. Did that just give us a preview for what Cale’s contract may look like? Sean Payton spoke today after camp. What did he have to say about Cooper? We give our way-too-early predictions for the season: who will lead the Denver Broncos in interceptions this season?

Will he be more willing to throw deep balls? How will he look in the pocket? Can he be more of a leader and command his offense? What will Jonah Coleman's rookie year look like? We look at other rookie running backs from last year. Can he match any of their totals? The Broncos lead the league in one-score wins. Quinn Meinerz spoke on that yesterday. How is the team going to avoid those close games? We check our X to close the hour.

We got news coming from the NHL. A big-time player got a big contract extension. Did that just give us a preview for what Cale’s contract may look like? We heard from PS2 yesterday. Does this team already have all the pieces they need to win a Super Bowl? With Ben Powers restructuring his contract, is there now a world where McMillan and Moss both get extended?

In the final hour of Dover and Cecil, Josh has some “would you rather” questions for Cecil! Would you rather have a healthy JK for an entire season, or have Evan Engram look like the Joker we were promised? What about the defense, would you rather them top 5 in sacks or interceptions?  With the NFL’s top 100 list still coming out, what will Bo have to do to separate himself from his draft class? Where will Drake Maye land on this list? How would you feel if Maye is in the top 20? The Broncos have struggled in September. How can they get off to a faster start? If Davis Webb has the offense clicking early, and the defense can take the ball away, what can this start look like for Denver? We react to some fresh audio coming out of training camp. What did PS2 have to say after their first day with everyone back.

In the third hour of Dover and Cecil,  the guys start the hour by asking our big training camp question of the day. What will Jaylen Waddle’s impact look like during this camp? Will he pop off the screen as many of us expect him to? Cecil calls his shot with Waddle at this camp. He will have TWO touchdowns to start camp! How will that impact translate to the regular season? The Nuggets matched OKC’s offer to Spencer Jones. How will that impact their decision-making for the rest of this offseason? Why did the Nuggets choose to pay Christian Braun but are struggling to pay Payton Watson? Bo is coming off ankle surgery, so do we expect him to play any differently? The national media is trying to tear down Bo Nix and implied that he is the reason Sean let go of play-calling. We tear down that ridiculous narrative surrounding Sean and his QB.

The Nuggets matched OKC’s offer to Spencer Jones. How will that impact their decision-making for the rest of this offseason? One name has come up as a potential target for Denver. Is that the missing piece that could solidify the Nuggets rotation? Are the Nuggets actually going to pony up and pay one of the largest tax bills in the NBA? Bo is coming off an ankle surgery, so do we expect him to play any differently? The national media is trying to tear down Bo Nix’s ability to throw the deep ball. We’re here to dispel that and prove why Bo Nix is on the rise as a real gunslinger!
