Our citizenship is not here on earth, but in heaven. Today’s sermon continued our look at John, and talked about Jesus’ confrontation with the Pharisees where He explained that His citizenship, as well as ours, is not here on earth, but in heaven.

Jesus is the light. Just as we are guided by light in the dark of the night, Jesus will guide our spiritual lives, allowing us not to run into things that we should know are there. Knowing God’s word will light up an otherwise dark world for us.

Today’s sermon talked about Jesus’ encounter with two men as they were on their way to Emmaus following the resurrection.

Jesus came into the world to pay our debt. Today’s sermon talked about Jesus’ mission while on earth, as found in Luke 4:18-19. When Jesus accomplished his mission through His death and resurrection, our debt was paid and we can now have eternal life if we put our faith in Him.

A few different crowds were gathered for Passover when Jesus entered into Jerusalem. Today’s sermon talked about the differences between the crowds and challenged us to make sure that we are part of Jesus’ crowd that have been saved by faith in Him.

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Today’s sermon talked about John 8’s account of the women caught in adultery being brought before Jesus. Just as Jesus didn’t condemn her for her sin, we aren’t condemned for ours when we come to Christ.

We must make the choice the study God’s word for our lives to be changed by Him. Today’s sermon continued our study on the book of John and talked about the different reactions of those who heard Jesus talk at the Feast of Tabernacles.

God’s word will supply our every need. Today’s sermon continued our look through John and talked about Jesus’ promise that the Holy Spirit would flow through anyone who comes to Jesus.

At some point in our Christian walk, we will face opposition. Today, Pastor Jeff talked about the opposition that Jesus faced at the Feast of Tabernacles from those who had gathered for the celebration.

Today’s sermon continued our look at the book of John. Pastor Jeff used the account of Jesus’s brothers trying to persuade Him to go to the Feast of Tabernacles to encourage us to follow God’s leading for our lives and not let our friends and families discourage us from following God.
