Ever wondered about the struggles Minnesota kids face as they step up to Division One schools in different parts of the country? We delve into this significant transition and the impact it can have on their gameplay. By examining the nuances of the game and the need for players to adapt to the physicality and culture at this level, we provide insight into their journey. We then switch gears to lacrosse, where we debate the introduction of mesh, leather pockets, draw control sticks and the sudden surge in game speed due to quick restarts and five-yard delay penalties. How’s that for a change of pace?

Finally, we tackle the lack of standardization in lacrosse statistics and the tug-of-war that ensues among coaches. In our analysis of HUDL stats, we argue their essential role in ensuring accuracy and discuss the necessity of a knowledgeable lacrosse person recording stats during a game.
