Tiger Woods lo volvió a hacer, y a diez meses del horrible accidente automovilístico que sufrió y contra todas las probabilidades, regresó a la competencia junto a su hijo Charlie para una edición mas de PNC Championship en donde además demostraron un espectacular juego y se quedaron cerca del título. Entérate también de lo sucedido en Veracruz en donde se llevó a cabo la séptima etapa de la Gira Profesional Mexicana.
Además, como se los habíamos prometido les tenemos el mejor resumen de la temporada así como nuestras predicciones para el próximo año.
En el episodio de hoy teníamos mas ganas de hablar de futbol que de golf, en especial la Chofa que es atlista a morir. Pero a pesar del poco golf, encontramos muchas cosas buenas de las que hablar como el top10 de los mexicanos en el PGA Tour Latinoamerica, el próximo regreso de Tiger a la competencia junto a su hijo Charlie y la buena noticia de que una golfista participó esta semana en el torneo de parejas del PGA Tour haciendo dupla con Bubba Watson, quien es un gran defensor del golf femenil. No se lo pierdan!
Ustedes también creen que Tiger se robó los reflectores en la semana? Desde su accidente Tiger no había aparecido para nada y justo en la semana en donde es anfitrión dio una rueda de prensa y se le vio pegando algunas bolas en la practica con todo el mundo viéndolo. A pesar de ser el centro de atención a principios de semana, el buen golf y el drama no faltaron en Bahamas y el desenlace del Hero World Challenge nunca lo esperamos. No te pierdas el resumen de lo que hicieron los veinte invitados a este exclusivo torneo y lo hecho por el mexicano Abraham Ancer, quien fue parte del fuerte field de la semana.
Además, entérate de los buenos resultados por parte de los mexicanos en Argentina y lo hecho por Ale Llaneza en el Q-series.
El Golf Charity Classic fue todo un éxito y un evento que no se podrán perder el próximo año. Nunca antes había ocurrido que los diez mejores golfistas profesionales mexicanos, de ambas ramas, se reunieran en un mismo campo compitiendo entre ellos a beneficio de la educación en México. Un evento de tal calidad solo podría ser llevado a cabo por la ex numero uno del mundo, Lorena Ochoa. No te puedes perder el resumen que nos trae Sofia del torneazo que se vivió en el Guadalajara Country Club.
Concluyó una temporada histórica en la LPGA en donde Nelly Korda y Jin Young Ko pelearon semana tras semana por el título de jugadora del año, así como por el primer puesto en el ranking mundial, y el ultimo torneo del año no fue la excepción. Por su parte, Gaby López también terminó con una de sus mejores y mas constantes temporadas en la LPGA en la cual mantuvo una gran nivel de juego por gran parte del año y de esta manera terminó con seis top10s en la temporada.
Mientras que en la rama varonil, Collin Morikawa volvió a hacer de las suyas pero esta vez en el tour europeo, ganando el ultimo evento de la temporada y de esta manera llevándose el Race To Dubai, el cual premia al mejor jugador del año. De igual manera, el mexicano Abraham Ancer tuvo participación en Dubai y lo hizo como ya nos tiene acostumbrados para finalizar dentro de los mejores quince en el ranking.

La LPGA cerró ya la temporada regular con una gran actuación de las mexicanas. Gaby López como fue una constante en este año se mantuvo en la parte alta del tablero para consolidar su lugar en el ultimo torneo del año. Mientras que María Fassi sacó gran provecho de la invitación que le hicieron para seguir demostrando que su juego esta de regreso. Además, el torneo se decidió en un cuádruple desempate entre las mejores jugadoras del mundo. Entérate quienes fueron!
Por otro lado, en la PGA Tour el mexicano Carlos Ortiz se tuvo que retirar por recomendación medica sin embargo fue una buena semana en un campo de golf que complicó los scores bajo par. Conoce quien gano y que otro récord se rompió en el tour de seniors.
Por fines de semana como el que acabamos de vivir es por lo que nos apasiona el deporte y seguimos a nuestros representantes mexicanos. En un fin de semana histórico en el deporte mexicano "el canelo", "Checo", "Charly" y "El turco" nos pusieron a soñar y llevaron a lo más alto la bandera de mexicana en sus respectivas disciplinas. Aquí te platicamos un poco lo que fue la semana en Mayakoba para los mexicanos, lo que se está viviendo en las finales del Korn Ferry Tour y una controversia muy polémica en el golf tanto en las mujeres como en los hombre. No te lo puedes perder!
Mientras que la LPGA tomaba unas semanas sin actividad, la mexicana María Fassi decidió hacer el viaje a Dubai para jugar en el tour europeo y continuar demostrando que esta de regreso quedándose a un solo golpe de lograr el triunfo sin embargo con un dominante juego de tee a green. También te contamos lo sucedido en la Gira Profesional Mexicana durante su sexta etapa, así como el resumen del torneo en Bermuda del PGA Tour.
Además, no te pierdas lo que otra joven mexicana logró junto a su universidad en uno de los mejores torneos de la NCAA.
Tal y como lo habíamos predicho Jin Young Ko viajó a Corea para continuar demostrando quien es la que manda en estos momentos. Aprovechando que esta en un excelente nivel y que Nelly Korda decidió no hacer el viaje a Asia, Ko retomó la cima del ranking mundial tras haber ganado en desempate el BMW Ladies Championship.
En Japón, el local Hideki Matsuyama dominó de principio sorprendiendo a todos, incluso a si mismo. Y lamentablemente para el mexicano Carlos Ortiz, una lesión en el hombre le impidió terminar la semana siguiendo la recomendación de los doctores.
Por primer vez en su carrera Rory McIlroy inicia la temporada con un triunfo para llegar a la victoria numero 20 de su carrera y con ella asegurarse su permanencia de por vida en el PGA Tour. Un jugador muy querido y con un juego espectacular en Las Vegas sobreponiéndose a Morikawa, Fowler y a nuestro mexicano Abraham Ancer, quien también tuvo una gran semana terminando entre los mejores quince.
Carlos Ortiz completó la sólida semana de nuestro representantes mexicanos con una buena actuación, la cual no fue reconocida como lo merecía.
