Note: Mr. Reinstein has left his position at Saranas since the creation of this podcast and is now the President and CEO at Conformal Medical.
In this episode, we speak with Mr. James Reinstein, CEO of Saranas and former longtime Vice President at Boston Scientific. Saranas is a medical device company based in the Texas Medical Center that has invented the "Early Bird" -- the first and only FDA-approved bleed detection system for peri/post-procedural monitoring of endovascular procedures. Having been ranked as one of Houston's top startups, Saranas has quickly gained venture capital funding and expanded its use in hospitals across the country.
We discuss Mr. Reinstein's background at Boston Scientific, what drove his passion to leave such a large company to lead medical startups, and how other students interested in healthcare leadership can achieve these coveted positions without the need of an MBA.Â
Thanks for listening, and we hope you enjoyed the episode!
