La Vernia police are still seeking the driver responsible for causing the closure of a busy downtown intersection. Drivers who travel through downtown La Vernia were encouraged to find alternate routes for their Monday morning commutes, after an 18-wheeler clipped a power or communications line pole following an accident Friday night, Jan. 16, at the intersection of F.M. 775 (Seguin Street) and Chihuahua Street near La Vernia City Hall.
