Do you think I'm made of money Marcy Jacks? One great series right after another. With storylines as compelling as each are different. Since I started reading your books my Amazon card has taken a serious hit. My Archived Items has ticked up exponentially. My Carousel is stuffed with Unread Jacks books, my other favorite authors are getting crowded out and they aren't happy :o( . I like to take breaks in between an author's series, which is the only reason all my reviews aren't just Marcy Jacks books. If you love pregnant male books like me then Marcy is your girl. She is also very good at displaying the courage and fortitude of disabled characters. Which brings us back to the first book in the Of Dragons and Wolves series.

Conner the alpha's youngest son has about five strikes against him. He's really small, with a bad heart, a limp, inability to either hunt for or defend himself, and he's an omega. If he weren't loved by his alpha dad and very strong older brothers he surely would have been banished or culled from the pack. As it stands he is considered the pack runt and useless to many including council members. None of this helps Conner's self esteem or pride. Neither does being the alpha's "baby" boy. He wants to do something to show everyone, especially his family that he can also contribute to the well being of the pack. This led to him sacrificing himself by offering himself as the "alpha's son" required by the dragon leader in exchange for peace between their pack and the dragons clan. Unfortunately neither his family nor the high dragon appreciated / were happy with his sacrifice.

This story was exciting. Just when you thought you knew what was going to happen Ms Jacks throws a curveball. It is an entertaining story as well. From the high dragon's initial reaction to his new mate to flying on your mate's back. There is also drama, intrigue, and jealousy. Who is shooting at the dragons? Who is the other blond in the dragon leader's life? How do the other dragons feel about their clan leader's defective mate? What is the difference between dragon and wolf mating rituals? Why were the dragons and wolves fighting? How long had they been sworn enemies?

What's especially great about this book is that we are introduced to Conner's five older brothers as well as several clan members who served as Conner's bodyguards and the high dragon's soldiers.

Love This Series!

I've enjoyed all the books in this series, but I think this one is my favorite. I'm not sure if it's the irresistible firefighter, the author's unique take on the poor, little rich girl, or the delicious sexy relationship between the hero and the heroine that made me like it best. I also love the threads of the seven girls that are woven throughout the series. And if narration is important to you, you'll love this one. The narrator is amazing!

A nice surprise

This is by far the best book of the series so far. A definite keeper. The first two where ok I liked them. This one goes the extra mile as it were. There's a few things I started to say, but I back spaced I HATE SPOILERS. The narrating was good the voice soothing as well as interesting.

best of the series

This was by far the best book in this series so far. It incorporates a hot fireman who is a dom but never traveled down the daddy's route. We are also seeing more of his bratty girlfriend and the author does well tying the characters of all three books together. I loved the easy nature of this guy and how he was so willing to learn the nature of this relationship to meet the needs of his girl. The bondage was a great addition to the story, heightening the experience. Great! 4 Fangs.

Good story. Sorry narration.

Author rushed character development in the beginning. That along with poor narration almost had me stop the book for return. However, I'm glad I didn't. Great storyline and character development saved this book. Looking forward to next book but hopefully with different narrator.

One thing that drives me crazy, the writer takes ages to build up to a sex scene, takes everyone to one O, and then jumps to "later that week" too many times.

A great short story about Logan and Sam. And the hottest of the books yet!

Something is Missing

Despite Nicole Edward's excellent writing skills, I have just never warmed up to Logan and Samantha's relationship. Possibly because Logan invited his brother Luke to join them for sex the 2nd time they were together; I thought Logan was arrogant to pimp out his new lover without consulting her and Sam showed no self esteem when she allowed his disrespectful behavior.

Now, a year or two later, Sam is hoping to find a permanent "third" (after several temps). Can't help wondering why Logan alone doesn't make her happy and fulfilled. Again, without discussing anything with Sam, Logan starts vetting potential candidates. "Hey man, want to f**k my wife? is not what I would expect from a loving husband.

Enter Elijah, sort of a friend of a friend, whose wife died years ago. Elijah seems like a decent guy, until he talks about his dead wife in the present tense. It's sweet that he had such strong feelings for his wife but the wedding vows do say "until death do we part". Ironically, Elijah belongs to a sex club - evidently his heart is still married but his penis is single. Guess they all deserve each other.

Great book!

This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it. It is written in a distinctly different style but once I got into the story I could not put it down. I loved the romance between Sophia and Robert, it was wonderful and I loved the historical aspects as well. I sincerely hope there may be a follow up to this story as I would love to read some more of their life together. Well done! I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an Advanced Reader Copy.

A Wonderful Historical Romance

The author uses a style that is perfectly in tune with the setting of the time: knights, ladies, and William the Conqueror. The story is set up as a research paper by one of Robert's (the main character) descendants. In fact, there are several places where the descendant makes reference to the Latin translation. I found the language and reference notes charming although it bumped me out of the story in the beginning. Emily Tilton constructed her characters carefully and in a way that explains the heroine's masochistic desires and her need to be dominated. It was a refreshing take on domestic discipline and spanking, and as a lover of historical romance, I admire Emily's dedication to maintaining an authentic voice for the time period.

The love story between Sophia and Robert is touching, and at the same time, titillating, but if you're daunted by archaic terms or language then this book isn't for you.

Delicious Discipline

I absolutely loved this book, both for its spicy heat as well as the sweet, tender romance. Tilton's deft narrative style turns what could be nothing more than a hot, one-handed read (not that there's anything wrong with those!) into a clever and deeply romantic story.
