Story was good.

Terrible. Total sounded like she was reciting a first grade book. No emotion at all.

Dumb plot - just group sex

This book starts with 2 straight guys in love with same woman;she is engaged to one and the other confesses his feelings before the wedding. Okay, there was potential for drama and romance. 7 days later, both friends are having sex with each other plus threesomes with the fiance and group sex with another couple. I found the drastic change in character behavior too unbelievable.

I Could Have Read this WIth More Emotion

Would you try another book from Opal Carew and/or Nina Carlisle?

No, Nina Carlisle was just awful, her voice was too monotone for a book narrator. She had no inflection to her voice until Chapter 12 then it was a little better (that;s why I gave 2 stars instead of one). There were 3 main characters - 2 of them men and she didnt even deepen her voice fr those parts.

Would you recommend Insatiable to your friends? Why or why not?

No, because of the narration.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Nina Carlisle?

Clarrisa Knightly or Grace Grant, plus a man to do the male parts...well anybody really - even a man would have been better.

Was Insatiable worth the listening time?

It was a good thing I listened to this at work because if it had been at home where I was not busy I couldn't have tolerated the book and its narration.

The narration truly ruined the book for me. The story would have been better with a man and woman narrating it.

Yes of course - Opal writes wonderful books.

Never in a million years - she narrates like she is reading a text book - no emotion whatsoever so it makes the book (as great as it is) hard to get into when the narrator has a flat unemotional voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Wanted to but narrator turned me off.

Ms. Carisle has no emotion in her voice and reads like she is reading the newspaper or a text book - perhaps she should try narrating other types of books and stay away from erotic romance.

Like most men, I don't read instructions, don't look at maps, and turn off the Sat Nav because, hey, I know best. Horrible Narrator Bad story

I was expecting a lot more out of this book but it was so bad. Megan Hart and Lauren Dane wrote a very poor story indeed. The narrator Vivienne Scully was terrible. No voice changes for different characters and such a sickly sweet voice that i just gave up listening. She way over tried to sound sexy that her voice ended up sounding creepy instead.. The whole book was just horrible. Never again. :(

Hm... not too bad...

This is about two relationships - Kate & Dix and Leah & Brandon. The former is a 'normal' romantic-sexual relationship and the latter is about the development of a Dom-Sub sexual-romantic relationship, where Leah is the dom. Not sure how I felt about this arrangement. Brandon is quite a nice guy and I feel a bit sorry for him. Lots of sex scenes... the story seems like a bit of an adjunct to the sex. Not that I usually mind this but maybe this was emphasised because I'm not really into DS, even when the male is dom. Scully's narration is okay... sometimes not a lot of differentiation between character's voices, so you have to listen closely to work out who's said what. Somehow there's something contrived about this novel... possibly because the two authors overworked it in an attempt to get it just right. Maybe others will like it more than I did.

Characters seemed much younger

Leah and Kate, best friends and educated professionals, are spending several days at a conference. Kate has a secret older boyfriend Dix and Leah just dumped lover & meets hunky younger Brandon. The writing was good, but I found the characters (except Brandon) acted too immature and self absorbed for their ages. Sex in a parking lot...ogling the opposite sex like teens...not having enough confidence in their abilities.

The book is absolutely everything I hoped for. I am however, disappointed in the price. Normally I would not pay this much for a book so small. It only has about 250 pages which include all sorts of diagrams, illustrations, and photos. An easy read, greatly informative, but hella pricey bro!
