What did you like best about this story?

It is almost like a beautiful melody.

Which character as performed by Anjna Patel was your favorite?

There are no characters in this story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It is a very brief audiobook.

Any additional comments?

Narrator: Ms Patel has a soft and tender voice that children will find enchanting. She sounds enthusiastic and in awe as she reads this brief and wonderful audiobook.

The author, Mr. Crumrine, wrote a short book so beautiful that it may also be used as a game between the parents and the child; after listening, all they need to do is ask the child, for example: I wonder I wonder what my child (my angel) is thinking cause his eyes are sparkling and his lips are smiling, then sit back and listen to their child tell them what he or she is wondering about.

This is a tender, lovely audiobook that children and parents will surely enjoy: five stars

Great resource for doctors office waiting rooms

Most children have concerns about the unfamiliar medical environment of visiting the doctor. Just like the young girl character in this book whose mom and dad take her to the doctor because she has hurt her knee. Author Robyn Oler walks children through the doctor's visit step by step. Allowing children to understand what to expect in a doctors visit, which allows children to anticipate the routines of doctors visits and helps the remove the fear of the unknown. She writes in a fun and rhythmic style. The illustrations are vivid and colourful. I especially liked how the illustrations convey the facial expressions of anxieties and fear that some children feel in going to the doctor, but throughout the visit the facials quickly change to a more relaxed and reassured young girl. Reassuring young readers about there own next visit to the doctor. And helps them to realise the doctor is their friend and is there to help them.

Brilliant book! It was really fun to read. A book that is a great resource for doctors waiting rooms and children who are going to visit the doctor.

My Friend the Doctor

Twenty eight thumbs up from my 28 kindergarteners! My Friend the Doctor is a sweet, informative book that teaches children to calm their fears about going to the doctor. This book is a great tool to start a discussion about the importance of taking care of our bodies. We look forward to reading Robyn's upcoming books.

Great Book

This book is wonderful for young children who are apprehensive about going to the Doctor's office. The characters are very easy to identify with. I am a preschool teacher, and my students loved this book. I would recommend this book to anyone with young children. Very sweet story.

Great Book

I love reading to my students about real life experiences and this book helps children feel comfortable about what to expect at the Doctors office. I love the use of rhyming words to help with the fluency of reading. Great job!

A must have!!

So helpful for my children. And I loved that it was about a child going to the doctor that does not get a shot. Kids go for so many reasons other than shots. A great friendly book for all kids.

'The Second Collection' features eight short stories, each wonderfully read by Mike Payne. It is the second audiobook of the first series of Charlie's Ark audio books.

Members Reviews:

One of our favorites.

Would you consider the audio edition of Charlie's Ark: The Second Collection to be better than the print version?

My 5 year old has been listening to this at least weekly since he was 3. It is so simply written and so well preformed with voice and music by the author that I don't mind listening to it...even when it has been on for hours.

The stories are short and sweet, with a simple lessons that do not feel lesson-y. The music is soothing, and the author has a pleasant relaxing voice.

Our only regret is that there aren't more of these stories. My little Charlie begs for more from this stories from this author.
