Listen over and over
Chantal's story is moving and her honest discussion of her own struggle and success makes you like her despite her being skinny and beautiful. She tells of personal humiliation, and exhilarating victory and makes you want to follow her on that path.
The plan is very workable and easy to follow, her knowledge on the topics of diet and weight loss is current and insightful, and her motivating attitude is helpful to listen to at all times during your weight loss journey.
I don't, however, think the reading of exercise descriptions and instructions translate well to audio format, and could personally do without that portion. Overall, one of the best audiobooks I purchased thus far. Highly recommend.
Couldn't finish
There is a reason there are professional book readers and this author is one of them. The author reads so fast you can barely catch the words. I don't think she breaths throughout the entire reading. It's too bad, really, because the content gets lost in this disaster.
I can relate....
I found myself truely relating to the author when she said that some people are not fat because they had a horrible life or are trying to cover emotions....she said that some people just love the taste of food so much and find that the signals many people have telling them they are full just do not work properly. I so relate to that. I also liked that she encouraged readers to incorporate one habit at a time. I found myself listening to the book several times in order to continue to have a stream of positive thoughts and encouragement.
awesome
great plan. congratulations Chantel! and hopefully many more will be influenced. great being read by the author!
You get a free sermon with this book
I had no idea when I bought this diet book that I was also getting a Christian sermon. If you are a non-Christian you will probably find this as annoying as I did.
