As The New Girl in the second installment of the Fantasy Heights series Amanda learning more about herself and her new work environment and fellow employees. Character depth and development is wonderful, can't wait to read what happens next; I highly recommend this series, at least so far!

Shaping up to be a fun series

This serial story is the tale of Amanda, a young woman who seeks to recover from heartbreak and explore her sexuality by working at a fantasy resort. This story balances her work adventures with some personal fun (still at the resort -- a fun employee perk is that you can also get your fantasies fulfilled). Another Great Anthology

I look forward to these anthologies from her every year and every year Ms. Violet Blue delivers. I've read all of her other anthologies and one thing that keeps me coming back to these books are the very stories themselves. The authors she chooses for her anthologies are good at what they do. They are real storytellers - you won't find any 99 cent smut here. And I don't say that to knock the people who read those - some of those can be entertaining as well - but I'm just saying that if you're like me and you're a person who doesn't just like a good sex scene, but like a good sex story, you will like this anthology.

All of the stories were great, but I especially loved the last story, The Fattening Room, because it focused on loving and accepting someone for who they were. In that story a Canadian man was engaged to an robust African woman, who had shared the custom with her fiance amid their own sensuous tryst. There was plenty of dessert play involved and the rest I will leave to the imagination, but it was deliciously erotic.

In the end, there really is something for everyone in here. You really just never know what you're going to get when you read these anthologies. The beauty of the short story is that you can keep coming back to it again and again.

Great Variety - A little something for everyone

The brevity of the stories was what made the biggest impact I believe. It must require a lot of discipline to write one of these stories. Heck I can barely write a review of the book that concisely - LOL! But in most cases I still had time to get a bit invested in the characters. I guess that is how the stories ended up in an anthology called "BEST".

I wish that I had not ordered any of the three books for it was such a lame repetitive script. And in saying that, let me assure you that I love books of passion and sizzling intimacy with hot erotic action but this was borderline dull. It is only my fault for ordering and mine alone but you wanted to know and so I let you know my feelings. I am a man who also purchased a while back all three "Shades of Grey" books which have been so "popular" in the minds of some, especially women. What I found while toughing it out through all three of the books was that it struck me as very demeaning to women and yet women seem to have gobbled up these books. I guess because I am not a man who is into whips and chains but rather prefer to use my lips, tongue, hands and other body parts to excite my partner, it just did not do it for me.

I expected that the story would be based on extraordinary size but the telling of the story was too thin. All the characters, even the main character, were extremely 2-dimensional with absolutely no depth. I mean it would have been nice to have a mental imagine of the main character as being, say, 5'5" 115#, blonde, blue-eyed, round butt, firm FF cup boobs (as if that could really happen).
