Bam was a small pink and white bilby. His real name was Bim Bam Bong, but no one knew why. His friends thought that was a silly name, so they just called him Bam. Early one morning Bam was hopping slowly through the bush, looking for roots and insects to eat, when he came across a strange sight.

In a clearing was a fierce-looking bird, handsome but scary. Bam knew it was a falcon. He had been taught that falcons were not bilbies friends, but this one was young and looked hurt, so Bam edged carefully closer. The falcon was trying to fly. It jumped from foot to foot, one wing hanging by its side....

Belinda the black cockatoo lived with her partner, Henry, in a eucalyptus forest that spread along the banks of a river in a valley winding between wheat farms and the rocky hill country.

Every year Belinda and Henry returned to the same nest high in an old gum tree. It was built in a cosy hole, where a rotten branch had once broken off in a storm. Carefully lined with feathers and leaves, the nest was warm and safe.

Last year Belinda had laid one egg, which hatched into a healthy chick that soon grew up to join the flock of cockatoos. This year she and Henry were very excited....

One morning Bam the Bilby was out foraging for food when he came across his friend, Albert the Numbat. Numbats had lived in the scrubland for thousands of years, but now, because of foxes and wild cats, there were just a few left. They were small and stripy, with big noses and long, sticky tongues. They ate termites, which were like small, squishy white ants.

Albert was usually busy all day tearing down termite mounds with his claws and feasting on the termites inside. But this morning he was just sitting quietly looking at the sky. 'Whats wrong with you, Albert?' asked Bam. 'Why arent you eating termites?'

Albert shook his head. 'I dont know what has happened to me. I woke up this morning and decided I never want to eat termites again. Im over them. All my life Ive had termites for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Termites for morning tea and termites for afternoon tea, termites, termites, termites. I used to love termites, but I want a change....'

Titel: Claus, das Chaosmonster

Autor:: Olaf Schulte, Michael Bandt, Roland Kohle

Erzähler: Manuela Bäcker, Wilhelm Wieben, Isabell Pitz, Oliver Pitz, Melanie Micheler

Format: Unabridged

Spieldauer: 32 mins

Sprache: Deutsch

Veröffentlichungsdatum: 09-14-15

Herausgeber: oomoxx media

Kategorien: Kids, Ages 0-4

Mr. and Mrs. Kookaburra had a nest in a hollow halfway up the tree. Not too high and not too low - in fact just about right. It was early summer, the blossoms were out and the sun was warm when Mrs. Kookaburra proudly introduced her three new chicks to all the other animals and birds, and to her friend Granny Gail, or GG as her friends called her....

Sweet Tale with added treasures

A tale we all enjoyed - young and old! This is more than just a sweet rhyming tale of old friends reuntiting in Central Park. It is also an opportunity introduce your little ones (and adults too) to the French language. My eldest son, who takes French in school, loved sharing this with his younger siblings. And for those, like myself, who don't know a bit of French the FREE Audio Download does a great job of helping with pronunciation and the rhythm of the rhymes. The audio download also helps at times when you just don't have the time to read when your little ones want to be read to. Play them the audio recording and they can follow along with the book - my little independent ones love being able to do this. Now they walk around proudly saying "Merci beaucoup" to everyone rather than thank you. Another added bonus is the "French to English Translations and Pronunciation" guide at the end of the book. She really packed a lot of extras into this little wonder. I eagerly await more books by Kristen Haight.

Ooh la la!

I was shopping for the perfect kids book to teach my grandson the joys of learning a different language and stumbled upon this adorable bundle of joy! Not only did this book teach me and my grandson french and it brought us closer together, while teaching lifelong lessons. It was fun, quirky and a book that my five year old grandson cant seem to put down. The author did an amazing job at integrating english and french, which has always been a difficult language to comprehend. This is a kids book for all ages and I recommend it to everyone who wants to broaden their childs horizons and learn some fun lessons along the way!

Educator and Mother

As an educator and mother I was thrilled to read Ms. Haight's first book. It is endearing, timeless, and draws the reader into the lives of exciting characters who understand the importance of friendship. My children (and students!) love the fun illustrations. I love the FREE audio book download. Listening to French spoken is a treat in and of itself especially when you are able to hear the author's voice. Great perk!

C'est tres jolie and a lot of fun to read

What a fun, sweet story about the cutest pet animals friends you ever might see roaming about the hustle and bustle in the busy streets of Manhattan or Rennes Rue in Paris! Always wanted to "parlez vous Francais," great way to have French intro without classroom stress.
