Pitfalls to avoid:

1. A prideful attitude--

Inclined towards:

a. towards flaunting it

b. towards thinking you had something to do with it. Deuteronomy 8:18- "You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth..."

c. a sense of superiority

2. A misplaced hope. Proverbs 11:28- "whoever trusts in his riches will fall."

Priorities to engage in--

1. Do lots of good

2. Share generously

According to Nonprofit Source 2018:

1. Tithers only make up 10-25% of any congregation.

2. On average, Christians give 2.5% of their income to churches.

3. Of families that make $75k, only 1% donated 1/10 of their income.
