God has specific requirements for wives and husbands. The husband is to lead in a servant-hearted and sacrificial way, and the wife is to supportively submit as unto the Lord. This is all for the purpose of being a picture of Christ and his love for the church.

We often approach life and relationships with the selfish question, “What’s in it for me?” But that is not what the Lord wants our focus to be. A person praying the petitions of the Lord’s prayer for his or her dating relationships will seek to date differently. A healthy dating relationship has two believers with the same heavenly Father, seeking to glorify him and accomplish his will.

Just as we need to prepare for the day when we see Jesus face to face at the marriage of the Lamb, those who want to get married someday will want to date someone. A person who will date well will be pursuing personal holiness and praying for someone else who is doing the same.

This message introduces the topic of dating, bringing up some of the myths in our culture, and giving a summary of what the Bible says about healthy relationships, dating, and marriage.

Depression is a term that a lot of Christians can be afraid to use as it is not used in the Bible. However, the Bible has plenty of things to say about sadness, sorrow, grief, and despair and how God is a refuge and relief to such feelings.

Emotions are a part of everyday life. As God’s image-bearers, we experience emotions, but those emotions can become wayward, consuming, and debilitating. There is comfort available in the God of all comfort.

A guest speaker finishes our Life Together series by talking about a believer's duty to evangelism or go and make disciples. Our modern-day reluctance to obey in this area is similar to the delayed obedience that the returning exiles showed in God’s command for them to rebuild the temple. This message examines the heart and motives behind delayed obedience, and how we can, by God’s grace, make a plan to delay no longer.

The church was born as the Holy Spirit fell upon the disciples at Pentecost, a large crowd gathered, the gospel was proclaimed, and the rest is history. God is still in the business of building his church as people are filled with the Holy Spirit, committed to the gospel, and being devoted to the things of the Lord with one another.

God's grace is unmerited favor that he bestows to save sinners and bring them into a relationship with him, but there is so much more to grace. It rescues us, causes us to anticipate Christ's glorious return, and it brings about transformation in our lives.

Scripture: Titus 2:11–14

The truth of Scripture should have a powerful impact on our lifestyle. People in Crete were defined by sinful speech, broken families, beast-like behavior, and gluttony. Many claimed to know God but denied him by their deeds. Titus 2:1–5 provides exhortations for men and women to live a life that accords with sound doctrine.
