D.R #26: Introduction to the Beatitudes
In this devotional reading, we will be reading from Matthew 5:1-3 (NIV). This is an introduction of the preaching that Jesus did when he was in Mount Sinai. This is the introduction of his sermon. The word "blessed" does mean "happy" but only in its purest, most godly sense. The definition of the word blessed is not just being happy but more of joyful. Who did Jesus preached the Beatitudes? The first one Jesus mention are the poor in Spirit. Who are the poor of spirit? Why did he preached it and what are they supposed to do after hearing Jesus' message? Listen for yourself to hear the answer to these questions.
My prayer is that something that I might have said touch your hearts and that if you haven't accepted Christ as your personal savior that you will finally decide to do it now. We would love to know if you made that decision, or you want us to pray with you.
