337. Dr Carrie Jones - Your hormones that don’t get enough publicity!

One of the show’s most popular guests (and I don’t like to pick favourite children, but one of mine too!) Dr Carrie Jones is back for the 3rd time on the show - can we call that a trilogy? Let’s, sounds super-hero-ish! 

Estrogen and progesterone get a lot of press in women’s health and hormone discussions, and rightly so. There are, however, some less talked about hormones that can have a huge impact on your health and on working through complex puzzles you might be trying to solve so we are pulling those hormones out of the shadows and talking about their impact on today’s show - melatonin, DHEA, prolactin (not just to do with breastfeeding btw!) and some of the hormones that cross over into neurotransmitter land…

If somehow just discovering her for the first time, Carrie Jones, ND, FABNE, MPH is an internationally recognized speaker, consultant, and educator on the topic of women's health and hormones with over 20 years in the industry. Dubbed the “Queen of Hormones,” Dr. Jones is a Naturopathic Physician who did her 2-year residency focused on women's health and endocrinology. She went on to get her Master of Public Health and was one of the first to become board certified through the American Board of Naturopathic Endocrinology for which she served on the board for several years. She hosts the highly popular show, the Root Cause Medicine Podcast which has over 3 million downloads. She is the Clinical Expert for the Lifestyle Matrix Resource Center and is on Under Armour’s Human Performance Council. Currently, she is the Chief Medical Officer at NuEthix Formulations and Head of Medical Education at Metabolic Mentor University.
