A pathetic account was recorded in the book “Who is in your ears” by Bako Ambianda of a young man who stood before the firing squad in the middle of the forest and was told by the captain of the guard in charge of his execution that he had one last choice.

He could choose the firing squad or he could explore the door to a cave that was over in the dark.

A major problem in marriages today is that shortly after the wedding, some husbands and/or wives change into what they have been told, taught, or conditioned by society to believe is expected of a wife/husband.

While this is often well-intentioned, the implication is that some actually stop the very things that endeared them to their spouses.

Roughly 3 years ago, I was working in a different state from wifey, nearly 10 hours apart. We were supposed to have moved together but some things came up and we had to settle with staying apart at least for the time being.

I left her heavily pregnant and hoped to work my way back as soon as possible, considering my dislike for protracted family separation.

In this 5 minutes podcast, I told the story of a radical decision to end this separation and highlighted lessons from it.

At one point or the other in life we all would voluntarily or involuntarily be the one to put in the work needed for others to shine and be exalted. Don’t get bitter during this season for your time of glorification will come and God will raise people to do the work for you.
