For this episode of The All-Around Adventure Podcast, I’m joined by Dr. Cliff Redford, a seasoned veterinarian, media personality, and world traveler.
Dr. Cliff graduated from the prestigious Ontario Veterinary College in 1998. Just a year and a half later, he purchased Wellington Veterinary Hospital, where he continues to care for animals to this day. Beyond his clinic, Dr. Cliff has taken his expertise abroad, volunteering much of his personal time to treat animals in need around the world. His travels have led him to places such as India, Egypt, Greece, Jamaica, and even near the Poland–Ukraine border. Where he’s stepped into challenging environments to provide care for animals and communities with limited resources.
In this episode, Dr. Cliff talks about how he manages the emotional challenges of treating animals in pain. While maintaining the resilience needed to do his work effectively. He tells remarkable stories from his international rescue efforts, offering insight into what it’s like to not only treat animals abroad. But also to collaborate with people and communities in vastly different circumstances. Furthermore, he shares the lessons he’s learned and the mindset he carries with him as he continues to live by his motto: “Be Kind to Animals!”
