LA Sheriff Alex Villanueva weighs in on the LA Board's decision to scrap a project needed for the replacement of the LA County Jail and the mental health facility associated with it because they want to do away with all jails.

We spoke to LA Board Supervisor Kathryn Barger about the rise of mentally ill inmates in jail. In a recent vote the LA Board voted to scrap a $1.7 Billion dollar contract to replace the Downtown LA Jail facility which will cause more overcrowding and burdens on law enforcement and the communities public safety.
