Dr. Eric Judd Shares What Everybody Ought To Know About Resistant Hypertension

Listen Later

I am very excited about having today's guest on Hypertension Resistant To Treatment. Dr. Judd is an Associated Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He is the Associate Program Director for the Nephrology Fellowship at UAB and the Co-module director for the renal module at UAB's School of Medicine. He has research interests in delaying the progression of chronic kidney disease and the treatment of difficult-to-control hypertension. He was a writing member for the American Heart Association's scientific statement on resistant hypertension in 2018. He sees patients in a hypertension clinic at UAB.

Dr. Judd will talk about resistant hypertension: What it is, how it is treated, associated risk factors, how to prevent it, and he will give a couple of patient examples of resistant hypertension and more.

Ready, let’s do this!
