With 25 years of experience as a teacher, principal, and district leader, he has been instrumental in shaping strategic plans that prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion while fostering high-quality instruction and strong stakeholder relationships. A native of Indianapolis, IN, and a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Dr. Pruitt holds degrees from Purdue University, Loyola University Chicago, and National Louis University. He has been married to his wife, Kenya, a counselor, for 29 years, and they are the proud parents of five children.
