Learning in the clinical environment is more that knowledge and procedures. Future health professionals need to be able to critically think about patient problems. Dr. Gay Baughman, Professor, from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry explains how she teaches dental students to improve their critical thinking skills. Gay utilizes the work of The Foundation For Critical Thinking and specifically the Paul-Elder framework to help her dental students develop these important skills.
