Trying to give this episode a title was difficult, because we talked about SO MANY amazing things. Dr. Lauren's insight about feeling gratitude in our body was probably my personal biggest takeaway. I have been noticing throughout my day how I FEEL when I am experiencing gratitude. So cool!
Our entire conversation was jam packed with wisdom and practical tools that you can implement today to nurture and protect your mental health. I think we could all use a bit more of that right now!
Dr. Lauren Cook is a therapist, speaker, and author. She (usually) travels around the country sharing how we can cultivate a life in accordance with our values. Lauren integrates positive psychology, gratitude, and neuroscience into her work to inform her evidence-based teachings. Dr. Lauren Cook began her training at UCLA, where she majored in Psychology and Communication Studies. She then earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. Dr. Cook then completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. Lauren currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and Siamese cat, Mochi and she loves spending time in the California sunshine.
Enjoy this conversation and be sure to connect with Dr. Lauren and myself to let us know your biggest takeaways.
