I completely understand that people are skeptical of police intervention and surveillance. Because of video cameras and smartphones this society has become emboldened to video record police activities. I do not have any problem with this whatsoever. I do have a problem with antagonistic behavior from cop watchers who are trying to do something good but going about it the wrong way. Wasting an officer's time is a waste of time and taxpayer resources. Walking around videoing government building just because you can and want to see the reaction you are going to get from the police is ridiculous. People, ordinary citizens are nervous about such activity, and rightly so. They will call the police and in turn, a response is required from law enforcement. How is any of this productive? To any officer, let the lessons of viral videos sink through. Be on your P's and Q's for people who want to video just because they can.

This episode we will be taking a look at women in law enforcement. I plan to do a number of episodes on this topic. We will explore what it is like for female enforcers as they embark on careers as law enforcers. Entering into a male-dominated job along with adopting and changing police culture can be rewarding and challenging. Far too often citizens are complaining about the police. The Police this and the police that. But if you ask these same citizens if they would like to become an officer to protect their community and demonstrate the correct way to enforce the law, then you will get blank stares or relieve a flat out "no". This is a terrible shame that many people can criticize but never volunteer their skills and education in order to protect their communities. This episode is dedicated to asking the pertinent question "do you have what it takes?" The challenge is simple and clear. If you have what it takes to enforce the law impartially, faithfully and with compassion then your local department needs you. With the wave of mass shooting/active shooters that have recently swept the country and the world, we see a need for action. Unfortuannalty all we get is prayers and condolences. Viral videos, sadly have become all the rage in our modern society. Unfortunately, Youtube and other platforms are filled with the police videos which are continuing to paint officers in the darkest of lights. Recently we saw some outrageous situations involving officers from the Phoenix, AZ PD. These officers were attempting to investigate and control suspects who had allegedly taken a doll from a dollar store. From what we know, their response was over the top and from what can be seen from vidoe, is more like the attempted apprehension of mass murders. We have often heard those police officers in other countries do not have the same levels of deadly interactions with their citizens that police officers in the US have with its citizens. It is also been rumored that officers in other countries also receive longer training. This longer training may account for greater empathy and better tactics when officers in other countries deal with their citizens. Today's episode we will explore whether there is any truth behind these statements and if true, what can be done to help US officers lessen their deadly encounters and make that citizens and officers survive their interactions.
