Meet the guest: Dr. Mariela Segura is a full professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal and the director of the Swine and Poultry Infectious Diseases Center (CRIPA). She holds a Canada Research Chair in Immunoglycobiology of Infectious Diseases and earned her master's and Ph.D. from the Universitรฉ de Montrรฉal. Her research focuses on the immunological role of the Streptococcus suis capsular polysaccharide in infection and its potential as a vaccine target.
