Dr. Cawthorn describes when he came into the "message of grace" he didn't like James or any other thing that might wreak of works! This was because he believed what the grace teachers were saying which actually came from Martin Luther. (not to oversimplify) However, we loved quoting Luther on James because it did not fit our newfound freedom. Luther believed that James should be thrown out of the biblical canon. This is inadequate. In the Bible, salvation is not God's rescue of people FROM the world but the rescue of the world itself! (Romans 8:21) Let's look at Paul's view of justification.
