Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!! This morning we celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ by considering Luke's gospel account of the events of that historical day. There are many important details in this story which strengthen our confidence in the word of God and the truth of the resurrection of Christ. Scripture text is Luke 24:1-27, 44-49.
This morning the choir presented its Easter musical entitled, "The King is Coming." We then turned our attention to Scripture where we considered the simple gospel message concerning the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Why is this message so important? What does it mean to believe in Jesus? Scripture text is 1 Corinthians 15:1-11. After considering the Scriptures, we come to the Lord's table for communion.
This morning we continue our study verse by verse through the gospel of Matthew. What does Jesus have to say about the value of a believer? We consider the value of a believer's word, the value of a believer's rights, and the value of a believer's love. Scripture text is Matthew 5:33-48.
This morning we continue our study verse by verse through the gospel of Matthew. Today's text picks up right where we left off last week with the subject of adultery. The difference comes when Jesus addresses adultery in the context of marriage and divorce. Scripture text is Matthew 5:31-32.
This morning we continue our study verse by verse through the gospel of Matthew. "I was looking, but I didn't actually do anything." While this may be a common perspective in the culture, the biblical truth is far more comprehensive. Jesus explains the principle behind adultery. Scripture text is Matthew 5:27-30.
