Dr. Nena Foster is a dynamic, strategic thinker and leader with a passion for food, Functional Medicine Health Coaching and just as important to her, inclusion.
Nena's functional medicine work is driven by a desire to help people create healthier and happier lives with food and nutrition playing a vital part.
For nearly 2 decades, Nena's work focussed on chronic disease and the impact of poor health, most often working with groups who face additional social and economic barriers - she talks more about this in this episode - It was through this work that she became passionate about how nutrition can improve and prevent ill health and make health and wellness more accessible to everyone.
Before launching her own nutrition-focused business in 2017, armed with a PhD in Public Health, Nena worked as a public sector consultant with a focus on healthcare and social justice. She gives corporate talks and still consults with large companies alongside her coaching business.
Nena is also a qualified Natural Chef and is very clear that if we understood the power of nutrition and how it correlates to your general health and wellbeing.
Her work focuses on helping both individuals and organisations make long-lasting, positive change. Most of her clients tending to be women ... she particularly enjoys helping those with neurodivergent qualities and mid-life women.
