Dr. Muller is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in the treatment of PTSD, substance
use/addiction issues, and anxiety. She also works with clients experiencing insomnia, depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, chronic pain, and life issues such as grief, personal growth, and relationship problems. She takes a trauma-informed, biopsychosocial approach to treatment and believes in treating the whole person, rather than just focusing on symptom management. Her commitment to a strength-based approach to treatment guides her work.
Dr. Muller is a trained EMDR therapist. She has been providing trauma and addiction focused
EMDR both in-person and through telehealth for over 4 years. She has undergone training to
deliver other evidence-based treatments for PTSD, including Trauma Focused CBT and
Prolonged Exposure. She takes an integrative approach to treatment with an emphasis on
utilizing mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral approaches, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She believes that there is no single approach that will work for everyone, so it is important to take time to find out what each client’s needs are and meet each person where they are at.
Dr. Muller holds the therapeutic relationship in the highest regard, taking great care to make sure that every individual feels heard and cared for within the therapeutic relationship. She strives to understand each individual’s point of view and create a therapy experience that feels safe and genuine.
She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She went on
to earn her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology
at Alliant International University in San Diego.
