What is FUE?

Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) is an advanced hair restoration technique where individual hair follicles are extracted directly from the donor area (typically the back or sides of the scalp) and then transplanted into areas experiencing thinning or baldness. 

Unlike the older strip method (FUT), FUE does not involve removing a strip of scalp, making it a less invasive option with minimal scarring.

Dr. Rana Irfan is an ABHRS (American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery) Certified hair restoration surgeon and is currently elected as President of ABHRS USA and President of the Hair Restoration Society of Pakistan (HRSP). Renowned not only in Pakistan but worldwide, Dr. Rana Irfan holds respected positions in various hair restoration societies. 

Dr. Rana Irfan graduated in 1994 from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College and completed his compulsory medical training/residency in 1998. He furthered his education at Rawalpindi Medical College and worked in the accident and emergency department of Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He also served as a registrar/medical officer at Rawalpindi Hospital.
