Saying no to someone who asks for money is a catch-22 situation. I have gone through this.

It's quite a task and dealing with such a situation needs emotional intelligence as well as good communication skills.

This happened around the year 1950s when some intelligent Psychologists started rubbishing the idea of childhood influences and trauma on a man's present emotional state.

They came up with a more realistic and rational solution and that changed the way Psychology worked henceforth.

While doing my Ph.D. I had to do many things that I hated to do but actually, those very things changed my life.

Here is what I learned.

My grandmother was academically uneducated but wiser than a Ph.D. guy like me.

She gave me a piece of priceless advice that I will never forget.

She is no more but still, I remember her advice.

During my struggling days, I came across many people from the Marawadi community.

I learned many things from them. Many helped me. Many were kind and generous towards society and the country as a whole.

There are some people who are not friends or close once but they leave a mark and memories.

Here is the story of Mustak from West Bengal who touched my life for a few months and passed away untimely.

Copied products or copied people never succeed in life. I have seen some copying of my methods or videos.

It doesn't work. It is like bypassing a natural path to success and trying to take an elevator to success.

I am very cautious about time management.

I mean time management is about mind management. Even recording this podcast was due to proper time management.

It was 2010, and I was doing my Ph.D. practical work at IIT Mumbai. Here I met a guy called Vasu.

This person was a lifeline of the Cryogenics department.

Every research fellow was in pursuit of Vasu-the reason was his practical knowledge and ability to find a solution to any technical problem.

I concluded that you need skills, not just paper certificates, to excel in life.

I was not gifted with Math initially but afterwords I fell in love with it. We did not have YouTube and BYJU's during that period.

This in fact helped me to get better in maths and learn a very vital skill that helped me immensely during my adulthood.
