For Dr Scott Jensen, who is also a member of the Minnesota Senate, the U.S. government's response to COVID-19 has been disproportionate to the risk the disease presents. He has been vocal about this belief, and due to this, has been targeted in different ways, such as having his license investigated by the Board of Medical Practice in Minnesota. Dr Jensen joins us on the show today to talk about the hysteria surrounding COVID, and what it means to be a doctor and senator with the people's best interests at heart. Dr Jensen is the author of Relationship Matters: The Foundation of Medical Care is Fracturing, which emphasises the critical value of patient-doctor relationships.

In 2016, Dr Jensen received the prestigious Minnesota Family Physician of the Year award from the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians, and during his time as senator, he chief authored and presented seven unique bills on the Senate floor, all of which were passed by the Senate unanimously. We open by discussing the bizarre regulations that were put in place regarding COVID that urged Dr Jensen to take a stand.

Dr Jensen weighs in on many of the shortcomings of our legal and medical system and how these have created so much polarisation and fear-mongering around the treatment and legislation for COVID. Toward the end of the discussion, Dr Jensen shares his thoughts about how to truly serve and lead people, and what we as a society need to overcome if we are to ever see an end to the negativity in the world.
