Wronetta Charles is a native of Opelousas, LA. She is a two-time graduate of Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from there in 1998,
as well as her Master of Science degree in Nursing Education in 2003. In 2004, she earned a postmaster’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner from Southern University. In 2013, she obtained her
Doctorate in Nursing Practice from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. In 2017, she obtained her poster master’s psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner certificate from
Southeastern LA University.
Since 2017, she has been practicing full time as a PMHNP.
In 2017, she opened her private practice, Mind and Body Connections LLC. She has been committed to providing access to quality care to those who seek it. Her hopes is to one day be able to provide
integrative care where she can use both of her certifications as a FNP and PMHNP and manage the health care needs of the “entire patient”, Mind representing mental health, and Body representing physical health during one exam.
