Dr. Stephen Cavanah is an endocrinologist who has been practicing medicine for 37 years. He spent 20 of those years serving as a military doctor in the Air Force. During his service, Dr. Cavanah was selected to be one of the white house physicians for President Clinton. He talks about what it is like to work directly for the President of the United States. His education started with going to a community college where he played basketball before going to the University of Kentucky to complete his undergraduate degree and shares why he believes that attending a community college is a great option to consider. Later in his career, he spent time on the admissions committee for a medical school and gives advice for those interested in going to medical school. He also gives advice for those in professional schools who have a family and how he learned to manage his time.
