From a clinical assistant to fashion model to CEO and now a medical school applicant, Shelby Hall has put together an impressive resume . She graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with honors and a Bachelor of Science in Education majoring in Kinesiology and a Master's Degree in Public Health from Brigham Young University. While modeling for brands such as Levi's, Stetson, and Draper James, Shelby cultivated a love for fashion and decided she wanted to get involved in the design process. Shelby is currently the CO-Founder/CEO of Certain Woman, a clothing brand that focuses on providing easy to style, size-inclusive, modest clothing for women from all backgrounds, and she will be introducing a collection of original designs in 2021. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, Shelby decided she was ready to take on another pursuit by applying to medical school.
During the interview, we discuss her transition from one career field to another, and what led to applying for medical school. We dove into her religious beliefs and how that played a role in her career working in fashion and modeling. We finished by discussing what recommendations Shelby has for those who are wanting to enter the fashion/modeling industry.
