They examine some factors families should look for in high-quality infant environments. Also, they consider how  effective teachers design classrooms to encourage toddler's learning. Lastly, they look at some warning signs that a preschool classroom might not be safe and supportive for children.

Anna also works in the field of early childhood and uses the Code in her work with children.  Anna explains what NAEYC’s Code of Ethical Conduct is and why early childhood education needs a Code of Ethics. She also provides ways to use the Code in an early childhood classroom.

This report has simple advice for child care teachers: If you want children to be more active during the day, play along with them.

A federally-commissioned study of child care centers found that staff should spend more time letting children be physically active. But the study also found that when staff members played with the children, children spent more time being active than when the adults did not participate. Children in classrooms where adults didn’t join in the play had 30 minutes less active time, on average, than children in classrooms where adults got involved.
