The DTC panel covers the Indycar finale from Long Beach. We discuss the first championship for Alex Palou and the race win for Colton Herta. We also muse over what the championship battle will look like in 2022 and how Herta and Pato O'Ward will look to dethrone Palou. Additionally we look at the prospect of moving the Detroit race off of Bell Isle and back downtown. In our F1 segment we celebrate the 100th Grand Prix for Lewis Hamilton as we break down the action from the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi.

The DTC panel reports from the Indycar Grand Prix of Monterey from Laguna Seca. We discuss Colton Herta's win, Romain Grosjean's spirited drive to the podium and the championship scenarios entering the finale at Long Beach next weekend. Additionally, we discuss more troubles for Alexander Rossi, the 2022 schedule announcement and the effect of streaming television on the sport. We also go over the NASCAR action from Bristol and preview the upcoming F1 race at Sochi.

As the championship battle heats up in Indycar, we also discuss the future of the Road to Indy series' as seemingly more and more drivers in Formula Two are taking a look at Indycar.

The DTC panel discusses the return of the Dutch Grand Prix to Zandvoort after an absence of 36 years. We delve into the huge win for hometown hero Max Verststappen, and update all of the 2022 driver announcements that became official this week. NASCAR began their playoffs at Darlington where Denny Hamlin took the win while several of his championship rivals encountered problems. We also discuss questionable post-race behavior by Kyle Busch, preview the next round at Richmond, and talk about the upcoming Grand Prix of Portland for the Indycar series.

Included in our discussion: what went wrong during the Cup Race that suffered from delays and issues with curbings, a great weekend for both Will Power and Romain Grosjean during the Indycar race, and Austin Cindric putting his stamp solidly on the Xfinity Series this year.

The DTC panel remembers legendary broadcaster Bob Jenkins who passed away this week. Jenkins lent his voice and enthusiasm to Indycar, NASCAR, and short track racing for the last several decades. We also go in-depth about the good, the bad, and the ugly coming out of Indycar's first race in downtown Nashville.

Additional topics include NASCAR at the Glen, the retirement of Valentino Rossi and a preview of the Indycar/NASCAR double header on deck this coming weekend.
