Note: A planned interview with Amelia Earhart was postponed to the next week due to a delay in her soon-to-be doomed attempt of an around-the-world flight.
The well-known comedy about the newspaper game and the escaped killer hiding in the roll-top desk. Amelia Earhart's appearance is announced as being postponed. The final half minute has been deleted from the closing, the story is unaffected. The female lead was scheduled to be Joan Bennett, but she could not appear due to illness and Josephine Hutchinson was substituted. . + We take up the story in a newspaper office in the City of Chicago. Walter Burns the managing editor played by James Gleason, is shouting down the phone to one of his staff. He tells him to find Hilde Johnson his ace reporter and tell him that he has to cover the hanging of Earl Williams at Cook County Jail the following morning. But the guy on the other end keeps telling Burns that Johnson has gone on his honeymoon.

Gunsmoke | (011) Never Pester Chester | Broadcast: July 5, 1952
Plot: Two Texas cowboys drag Chester behind a horse for fun, almost killing him. Marshal Dillon brings in the cowboys...without his guns. The script was used on the Gunsmoke television series on November 16, 1957. A couple of cowboys have had a bit too much to drink and are harassing the ladies on the high street. Chester goes to ask them politely to leave the ladies alone as they don’t want any trouble. But trouble is what they are going to get from Marshall Dillon after they rope Chester and drag him out of town.

A turbulent family drama about an overbearing mother and a son trying to find himself. Sarah Delano Roosevelt (mother of the president) is interviewed after the story. The play opens in a tiny studio apartment in downtown New York owned by Stella and Vicky Hallam. Stella has just returned from the office and Vicky is somewhat annoyed because she should have remembered they were supposed to be going to his Mother’s apartment for dinner. The truth is, Stella and her Mother in law don’t hit off too well and yet she’s quite fond of her Father in law.
