In today's world of male-dominated brewing, it might come as a shock to learn that traditionally, brewers were women.  Brewing belonged to women from the medieval to early modern periods for a variety of reasons. The most obvious is the simple fact that women were tasked with proper kitchen chores, and brewing required many of them.

Craft beer is the biggest it's ever been, with incredible stylistic diversity featuring fascinating flavors and aromas of all kinds. With that in mind, why is that same diversity not represented among those who drink the beer?
