Drawn from the Undertow

The crew of the Ghost Of Winter rush to save Titan's colonists from a sudden attack by the Terran Alliance. While Dax and Lákhesis work to rally the scattered Outer Sphere forces, Mayve and Atropos reach a tentative agreement to use their power to defend the survivors. Will their compromise survive an encounter with the enemy's Leviathan, or will Mayve's desire for revenge burn Atropos' trust?

🎶 Under starry skies we are lost
And into the breach we get tossed
And the water's coming in fast 🎶

The crew of the Ghost of Winter plans their next moves now that they have awoken the Leviathans Atropos and Lákhesis, while their pilots try to navigate their new relationships to the machines. A routine refueling stop on Uranus turns deadly when the crew discovers an abandoned fuel station and an ominous drumming from deep within the mists of the gas giant...

🎶 I ran to the tower where the church bells chime
I hoped that they would clear my mind
They left a ringing in my ear
But that drum's still beating loud and clear 🎶

Hey we looked at the schedule and realized we were not going NEARLY fast enough to get Threadspinner ready in time for the playtest to start this spring! So, from here on out, we're gonna be doing a lot more off-mic designing, and use these episodes to partially talk through some design questions, but mostly to update y'all on the work we've been doing throughout the week. For instance: last week, we told y'all we'd be designing The Executed this week. Instead, we've designed The Executed, The Mixologist, AND The Divinity! Four down, five to go!

In an secret, underground base on Pluto, two Outer Sphere pilots--Dax Burnside and Mayve "Mayday" Dayson--attempt to revive the slumbering war machines known as Leviathans. However, the Terran Alliance has been developing new weapons of their own. Faced with a threat from which they can no longer hide, the pair are forced to convince their mecha to fight before the last hope of resistance is entirely snuffed out.

🎶 Heaven help me, I need to make it right. 🎶

Welcome, one and all, to THE YEAR OF THREADSPINNER, starting off with THE MONTH OF THREADSPINNER. We will be releasing new design sessions and new game drafts every week this month as we grind away at getting the game ready to start playtesting this spring!

This week, we talk through our ideas for how the combat system should be modified from Eidolon, and revisit equipment to further codify the ideas we've talked about with it previously. We also wrote up a whole to-do list so that we can stop forgetting about what we said we should be working on!
